PERSONAL PROFILE:

Dr. Dyne is a 1991 graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine and a 1995 graduate of the UCLA/Olive View-UCLA EM Residency. She is a national expert on emergency gynecology and a national leader in medical education and residency administration. She served as the residency program director of the UCLA/Olive View-UCLA Emergency Medicine Residency Program for 10 years, resigning in June 2008, and is currently completing her term as Immediate Past President of the Council of Residency Directors for EM (CORD-EM), having spent the last 9 years in service to that organization as a member of its Board of Directors. Dr. Dyne has recently resumed her roll as Director of ED Ultrasound at Olive View-UCLA, and is learning about “simulation” in anticipation of bringing this training and assessment tool to the EM training program at UCLA. She is also participating in medical education research at UCLA, and intends to make this a focus of the next phase of her career. In addition, Dr. Dyne is a member of the Board of Trustees for her children’s school, serving as Chair of the Buildings and Grounds/Disaster Preparedness committee.
