PERSONAL PROFILE:

Dr. Lovato is a Southern California native. He finished medical school at UCLA in 1996, followed by combined residency training in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Lovato sits on the editorial board of Emergency Medicine News and has a monthly column entitled “Living with the LLSA,” providing comprehensive reviews of required reading for diplomats of the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He also is a medical editor and managing editor for eMedicine’s Clinical Procedures, an extensive online multimedia resource for practicing physicians. Dr. Lovato plays keyboards for the rock band Gravely Disabled. In his spare time he acquires antiques, art, and collectibles for The AtoZ Mart, a family owned an operated business serving the greater Whittier area since 1957. He lives with his wife and son in Whittier, California.
