I joined the OVMC faculty in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine after graduating from our combined program in 2004. I have been working since then to improve access to care for our patients and maintaining an optimal teaching environment for our housestaff. To that end, my professional duties and interests have focused on issues relating to patient flow, utilization review, follow-up care, hospitalist services, use of nurse practitioners, house staff work hours and educational requirements, and quality and efficiency of patient care. I received teaching awards in Emergency Medicine in 2006 and 2007, as voted by the house staff.
