PERSONAL PROFILE:
Dr. Waxman is the co-director of the combined Internal Medicine-Emergency Medicine Residency Program and Assistant Program Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency at UCLA/Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. He has a research interest in the follow up of patients with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes that present to the ED with a complication of their disease. Dr. Waxman has an interest in international health and works with GHAP (Global Health Access and Prevention) providing training and logistical support to displaced populations on the Thai-Burma border.
