About the LLSA
Lifelong Learning Self Assessment (LLSA) is part of the Emergency Medicine Continuous Certification (EMCC) Program and is required by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) to maintain board certification. All ABEM diplomates are required to read approximately 20 articles per year, from a list published on the ABEM website, and take a yearly exam. The primary goal of the LLSA is to promote continuous learning by board certified emergency medicine physicians across the country.
